Our Family Fishing Trip To Canada - 6.20.09

We took our annual trip to Canada to go fishing with my family at Pine Point Resort on Lac Des Milles Lacs in Upsala, Ontario, Canada. My sister wasn't able to make it this year due to lack of vacation from starting a new job...she was surely missed!! We did call and talk to her though!!

We left Madison on Friday night 6/19 after work and headed to my parent's house in Turtle Lake, WI which is almost a 4 hour drive. We stayed the night, and then everyone got up and had some breakfast and off we started on our adventure around 9:15 a.m.. We had to slow down in Duluth, MN as the Grandma's Marathon was going on. Once we got through there we stopped in Grand Junction, MN just before the border where we ate lunch and also filled up on gas. Then a quick stop at the border and then off to the cabin!! We got there about 6:15 p.m. As usual the boys (my dad, my hubby and brother-in-law) get the vehicles unpacked and placed in the cabin and then get the boat in the water and head out fishing while the ladies unpack everything inside. Not sure how fair that is but hey...we are on vacation so who cares!!

And here is Nathan...he thought the fish were the coolest thing this year!! He named them all Trixie and even through the small ones back into the lake all by himself.
