CTMH's Saturday Convention at a Glance!!

SATURDAY
GENERAL SESSION

Jeanette Lynton gave us the inside scoop by answering questions on numerous topics sent in by us Consultants. In addition we had the opportunity to hear representatives from Operation Smile speak about all of the great things Close To My Heart and its Consultants are doing to help children everywhere. We also had a blast playing the Jeapordy game show, complete with great Close To My Heart prizes.

CREATE & TAKE
Then it was time to create some more!! We enjoyed two more hours of scrapbooking and cardmaking using new products to create brand new artwork to take home.

BUSINESS CLASSES
After attending, "From Dream to Team," we came away with a better understanding of how rewarding it is to build our own Team of enthusiastic Consultants. We saw how our unique personality traits can help us recruit and develop a dynamic Team that will take our business to greater heights. In "Common Cents and Money Moguls," we learned how to make the most of every cent, discovered product investment secrets that yield real dividends, and got the inside scoop on using Hostess Rewards and other programs to maximize our profits.

CLOSING BANQUET
We enjoyed delicious cuisine, side-splitting laughter, and joyful dancing at our closing banquet festivites.

Here's my roomies and I at the Closing Banquet. It was a fun night!!

Jeanette was surprised by her team with a super cool paint splattered mural of herself. It was awesome to watch her picture come alive as he splattered paint and used his hands to create this masterpiece.

One of our most famous comedians, Anita Renfroe, was back with more humorous insights on everyday life--she brought us to tears!!

Picture This!! :o) This was part of our table's centerpiece...litte mini-frames in which I snagged for my scrap studio!!

Here's a picture of the beautiful centerpieces. The baggie was filled with the new Autumn/Winter Petite Perks stamp set. We played the Left/Right game and my roomie Jodi won them. She gave each person at the table one...Thanks Jodi!! Again as we departed the Closing Banquet we were given another Exclusive to Convention 2010 Stamp Set - Picture This. I don't have a picture of it, but it is filled with butterflies, wings, crowns, etc.

The highlight of my trip was getting to speak briefly with Jeanette Lynton, Founder and CEO of Close To My Heart. She had a little area just outside the Closing Banquet room. We stood in line for a good hour or more just waiting for our 30 seconds with her. My heart was pounding when I finally got up to her.

I truely had an awesome time and am so very glad I attended Convention. I would recommend all Consultant's make it a goal to attend next year's in Annaheim...you know it IS the happiest place on earth!! Thanks Jeanette and Close To My Heart for an experience of a lifetime. I can't wait to see how you top yourselves in 2011!!

If you would like to join my team and become a Close To My Heart Consultant send me an email at keeleyskreations@myctmh.com. I would love to bring a whole crew with me next year!!

CTMH's Friday Convention at a Glance

FRIDAY

GENERAL SESSION

In this session, we were treated to the wisdom and experience of someone who's been involved in direct sales for over 25 years!! Our keynote speaker, Mary Christenson, is an inspirational speaker, a powerful trainer, and a direct-sales superstar, having signed on a team of over 1000 in her first year in the business. She guided us to embrace the key attitudes and skills needed to drive our business forward and achieve the success we've always dreamed of!!

BUSINESS CLASSES
Sales success was the theme of "Strategy + Style = Success." They helped us with all facets of selling including scripts, product knowledge, presentation style, and the all-important close. In "It's a Date!" we learned productivity boosters, time-taming tips, the power of prioritization, how to become a booking maven, and how to make our calender work for us...now the other way around!!

CREATE & TAKE
There's nothing like two glorious hours of uniterrupted scrapbooking and cardmaking with friends using the newest products from the Autumn/Winter 2010 Idea Book. Okay, they made it even better: We got two more hours of Create & Take on Saturday, too!! Our suitcases were loaded with display artwork that you will die for!!

AWARDS GALA
It was our red-carpet night!! We dressed up and celebrated the achievements of fellow Consultants during the past year; hard work deserves hearty applause!! I got to stand and be recognized for achieving my Ph.D. in Close To My Heart's Training Academy!!

We also enjoyed the smooth sounds of popular pianist Jon Schmidt throughout the evening.

Upon leaving the Awards Gala, we were presented with yet another goodie...a new My Acrylix Stamp Set!!

CTMH's Thursday Convention at a Glance!!

Here's what we did during our three days at Convention:

THURSDAY
OPENING GENERAL SESSION

Thousands of screaming women wanting to get in the doors for our General Session!! Crazy and Fun!!

Picture This: New products, program updates, big announcements, thousands of dollars in product giveaways, and more!! All this awaited us at the opening general session at this year's Convention. It was hilariously funny with all the different skits they did. I laughed so hard!!

Jeanette Lynton personally welcomed us to Convention and inspired us to be the best we can be. I was among the first to see the new Autumn/Winter 2010 Idea Book with gorgeous artwork and hot products for the holiday season. We were awed and amazed!!

In The Gathering Bunch skit, CTMH shared that in the very near future, you will be able to host online gatherings, and you will earn more rewards for being a hostess!! How stinkin’ cool is that??!!

Then the perky Kristine Widtfeldt came out and did an infommercial and unveiled two revamped color palettes!! We have 8 fresh new colors of ink & cardstock!! Wowzers!!

In The Apprentice, Jeanette Lynton, played Donald Trump…hair piece/comb over and all!! It was hilarious!! Our new embellishments were unveiled at great low prices, and they are all super cute!!

Next up on the tube, was a spoof on Trading Spaces. Kristine & Brian helped two troubled scrappers with their projects, by using the Workshop on the Go Kits and new 4” x 12” , 6” x 12” & 8” x 12” Flip Flaps!!

It was then time to watch the Ellen Degeneres Show (CTMH Style). More wonderful news about Studio J was revealed!!

During an episode of Desperate Scrappers, a new Scrapbook How-To Program called Magic was revealed, which includes interactive elements galore!!

Last but not least, some of the ladies at corporate performed a dance to Single Ladies by Beyonce, but it was all the Scrappin’ Ladies. There were a lot of great moves up on that stage!! You can see it HERE on Jeanette Lynton's blog.

EXTRAVAGANZA
Eight incredible artwork classes taught by talented Consultants filled us with enough creative ideas to last a whole year-perhaps beyond!! We learned new techniques, we saw new product demonstrations, received sales tips, viewed plenty of display artwork, and were brimming with motivation galore.

There was a MIX & MINGLE where we were given the chance to visit with old friends, and meet new ones from our own area, but I chose to go on the evening tour of DC with my CTMH Sista and Upline Jen. More to come on that a little later!!

CTMH's 2010 Convention - Washington, D.C.

WOW!! What an awesome trip Close To My Heart's Convention was. I had never been to Washington DC before, and I was very excited. This was my first time flying alone, and it went great. I left from Milwaukee's airport on Wednesday, July 7 around 2:00pm and arrived at the Gaylord National Hotel & Convention Center. What a spectacular building that is. I loved all the windows!!
Align Right

Did you know that all Close To My Heart consultant's are given the opportunity to attend Convention? CTMH even put together a payment plan called Dollars to DC to help ease the pocketbook. I definitely took advantage of it for this trip and will again for Disneyland!!

I love the above photo of the awesome window decals and the stairs, in the below photo, embedded with what Convention 2010 was all about!! PICTURE THIS!!

CTMH Picture This Layout!!

This is the layout my upline Jen Patrick made me for my Roomie Gift. You can see more details on her blog HERE. Thanks Jen...I love it!!

CTMH You Rock Mini Envelope Album

For Close To My Heart's Convention 2010 in Washington, D.C. I made mini envelope albums out of CTMH's You Rock Level 2 Paper Packet for all three of my roommates. I got my inspiration from Vickie Wizniuk's blog HERE. I love how they turned out and had a lot of fun creating them.

(I just realized when I went back to get the website address that I made my albums using 6 envelopes instead of 3...no wonder my 1" rings were too small. DOH!! LOL!! I wanted to put ribbon on them, but the 1" rings were too small so I had upgrade to 2" which were too big as I couldn't find any that were 1 1/2". So left them as is so my buddies could replace them if they had some.)

I used our new 1 1/4" circle punch to make the cut-outs in the envelopes and the little tabbies on the pull-out tags. I included a couple pictures of the pull-out tags so you get the picture.

Supplies used (all CTMH unless otherwise noted):
Paper: You Rock Level 2 Paper Packet B&Ts (X7122B); Goldrush, Indian Corn Blue, Olive, Outdoor Denim, White Daisy CS

Inks: Goldrush, Indian Corn Blue, Olive, Outdoor Denim
