If you’ve ever wondered whether a Stampin’ Up! Paper Pumpkin kit is “worth it,” today’s project answers that question loud and clear. 🙌✨
The December Paper Pumpkin Kit: Watercolor in Bloom was designed to create three stunning handmade cards featuring hand-sketched botanical artwork, soft watercolor backgrounds, precut vellum accents, and sparkling embellishments.
But I didn’t stop at the cards. 💚
After assembling the three designed cards exactly as instructed, I used the remaining card bases, envelopes, ephemera, and embellishments to create:
📸 Single-page scrapbook layouts
📖 Double-page scrapbook spreads
✨ Coordinated memory keeping pages
The beauty of Watercolor in Bloom is how cohesive everything feels. The layered greens, teals, and soft neutrals make transitioning from card making to scrapbooking effortless. The botanical die cuts and vellum frames add depth without overwhelming your photos.
This is one of my favorite creative strategies:
Take a Paper Pumpkin kit and ask, “How else can I use this?”
Instead of letting leftovers sit in a pile, you can:
🌿 Turn card fronts into photo mats
🌿 Use vellum accents as journaling frames
🌿 Layer embellishments into scrapbook clusters
🌿 Incorporate sentiments into focal elements
Paper Pumpkin isn’t just about quick cards . . . it’s about creative flexibility and coordinated supplies that make designing easy and enjoyable.
And as a Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator, I love showing how you can maximize every kit you receive. 💚✂️

💖 Watercolor in Bloom — “Dear Friend” Card 💖
This card from December’s Paper Pumpkin Kit: Watercolor in Bloom might be one of my favorites because it says exactly what so many of us feel but don’t always say out loud.
The soft watercolor background, layered botanical details, and vellum accent create such a calm, comforting feel. Paired with the simple sentiment . . . “Dear friend, you make me feel loved” . . . this card is perfect for brightening someone’s day just because.

📖 Watercolor in Bloom — “Ireland” Scrapbook Layout 🍀
This layout came together using December’s Paper Pumpkin Kit: Watercolor in Bloom, and I absolutely love how rich and cohesive it feels from top to bottom.
The bold IRELAND title instantly anchors the page, while the layered botanical elements and soft watercolor background create movement and balance without overwhelming the photos. The mix of deep greens, soft teals, and subtle sparkle adds just enough texture to make the details pop . . . especially those little embellishments tucked into the florals. ✨
One of my favorite parts of this page is how easily the kit transitioned from card making to memory keeping. Using leftover pieces from the kit allowed me to create a layout that feels intentional, polished, and perfect for preserving meaningful travel memories.
This is a great reminder that Paper Pumpkin isn’t just about quick cards . . . it’s about giving you coordinated supplies that work across projects when inspiration strikes.

I love how the vertical design draws your eye across the page . . . from the layered botanical cluster at the top, down through the elegant focal frame, and across the photo mats on the right. The soft watercolor strips add movement and depth, while the die-cut leaves and subtle sparkle give just the right amount of texture without overpowering the photos. ✨
The clean photo space makes this layout incredibly versatile . . . perfect for everyday moments, meaningful memories, or even travel photos. It feels calm, cohesive, and thoughtfully designed, which is exactly what I aim for when I scrapbook.
This page was created using leftover elements from the Paper Pumpkin kit, proving once again that one box can deliver way more than you expect when you let the supplies guide your creativity.

The subtle sparkle and layered florals bring just the right amount of texture without taking away from the photos. ✨
One of my favorite touches on this layout is the sentiment card tucked right into the design . . . “The little things you do for me mean so much.” It adds so much heart and turns this page into more than just a scrapbook layout … it becomes a story. 💕
