Why Scrapbook Outdoor Adventures?
Outdoor memories often hold a special place in our hearts. Whether it’s a peaceful walk through the woods, an exciting wildlife sighting, or a family hike, these moments deserve to be celebrated. Scrapbooking lets you combine creativity and storytelling to document these cherished experiences. With Stampin' Up!'s beautifully coordinated materials, your scrapbook will reflect the rugged beauty of nature.
Layout 1: Bird Nerd
- Focus: Highlight sightings of birds or animals in their natural habitat.
Base: Start with a crisp White Willow cardstock sheet for the base pages and adding in papers from the Nests of Winter DSP.
Design: Add three sets of birds fussy-cut from the Nests of Winter DSP.
Embellishments: Use the Pecan Pie Ribboned Gems and finish with a die-cut title using the Alphabet A La Mode Dies.
Layout 2: The Outdoors
Base: Choose a calming, neutral-toned sheet of cardstock.
Techniques: Add layers with the Copper Textured Metallic Paper for a rustic touch. Use the Birch Wood 3D Embossing Folder to add texture.
Details: Use the Alphabet A La Mode Dies to spell out “Outdoors”, "Explore" or “Adventure.”
Tip: Use multiple small pieces/scraps of DSP to tie all of your layouts together. Layer dovetailed pieces for a natural, textured look.
Layout 3: Wildlife Encounters
Focus: Highlight sightings of animals or birds in their natural habitat.
Technique: Use Spotlight on Nature Dies in black to add dimension and a place for the eye to follow thru the layouts. Fussy cut birds from the Nests of Winter DSP.
Embellishments: Incorporate the Pecan Pie & Clear Ribboned Gems to mimic dew or sunlight reflections.
Layout 4: You Warm My Heart
Design: Use bold, earthy patterns from the Nests of Winter DSP.
Theme: Capture your personal reflections or favorite moments from your adventures.
Elements: Create a dovetailed focal point to craft a “You Warm My Heart” title banner using the Mini Alphabet Dies. Layer with White Glimmer Paper for a frosty effect that mirrors sunlight on snow.
Embellishments: Use the Pool Party Pompon Ribbon to create a bow to top off the Tag created with the Greeting of the Season Dies.
Details: Winterly Treetop Dies are perfect for adding silhouettes of birds and foliage. Both bird images were cut directly from the Nests of Winter DSP.
